“In my entire life, I have never really been a happy person. I was a happy person, but not a happy person. I feel joy and laughter and I can have fun in things, but I am a depressed person,” she assures.

The pop star admits that at times she lost her faith completely: “I suffered from a lot of depression my whole life. When things happen in my soul, or something like that, what I’ve always held on to is, ‘Well, this will pass. It will come in waves and it will get worse and it will get better.’ And that has always brought me comfort. And this time, I literally thought, ‘I don’t care, nor do I want this to get better.’”

Despite this, the artist believes that she has recently benefited from a more relaxed approach to her fame and success.
