Fans of the Spice Girls went wild last week with the photos and videos that showed the five members of the group together to celebrate Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday.
Since then, rumors about the group reuniting for a tour began to circulate on the internet, supported by a statement from Mel B, who told fans to wait for news that “will arrive soon”.
The Daily Star newspaper, however, points out that the five stars’ reunion will not be for a concert tour, but rather for the recording of a documentary that explores the group’s history. “Victoria recently participated in the documentary about David Beckham and that seemed to generate a positive response, so she could do the same for the Spice Girls,” highlighted a source spoken to by the publication.
The five members of the group have not come together for a show since 2012 when they performed as part of the closing ceremony of the London Olympics. In 2019, the Spice Girls went on a lucrative reunion tour, but without Victoria in attendance – the shows were only performed by Mel C, Mel B, Geri and Emma Bunton.
Victoria’s birthday party was held at the exclusive Oswald’s club in London. In a video published on Instagram, David Beckham, Victoria’s husband, showed the Spice Girls dancing and singing the hit ‘Stop’ to an audience of family and friends. The former football player also appears in the images smiling.
