The SCC Group announced the acquisition of Rádio Massa FM 95.3, located in Serra Gaúcha, as part of its expansion plan for Rio Grande do Sul. The group’s vice-president, Beto Amaral, highlighted that the move is strategic: “The The goal is to create business units, expanding our message and mission into new territories.” SCC already operates on radio, including with another affiliate of Rede Massa FM, in the mountainous region of Santa Catarina.
According to the note, the new station will serve a key tourist region, including cities such as Caxias do Sul, Gramado, Canela, among others. Alaor de Oliveira, who maintains the direction of the radio under the new management, highlighted the synergy with the group’s objectives. “One of the strengths we have in Serra Gaúcha is the vocation for tourism, this facilitates the promotion of events, parties and community interaction, characteristics of Rede Massa”, he stated.
The president of the SCC Group, Dr. Roberto Amaral, highlighted the acquisition as an important milestone. “Acquiring a new radio station in another state, with an already consolidated brand, such as Rede Massa, is an achievement and also a great challenge,” he said.
The note also says that this expansion reinforces the SCC Group’s presence in the communications market, adding the new broadcaster to a network that already includes SCC SBT and other radio stations in Santa Catarina. Celebrating 85 years of operations, the group reaffirms its commitment to quality and credibility with its listeners. The group controls stations such as Massa FM 92.1, Rádio Clube FM 98.3, both from Lages (SC), and also Rádio Gralha FM 88.9 from Urubici (SC).
Already Massa FM from Gramado has been on air since October 5, 2020when it replaced the state network Sorriso FM.
