Christina Rocha remembers her career after controversial departure from SBT

Christina Rocha took to social media to remember her career at SBT, this Friday (3), one day after announcing that she left the presenter lineup at the station where she worked for more than 43 years. The publication was the first made after the communicator revealed the behind-the-scenes of Silvio Santos’ departure from the company.

“Today is not tbt day, but it is worth remembering for many highlights of my career. Thank you to all my fans for your love”, wrote Cristina, also mentioning the profile of the fan responsible for creating the video. Watch here.

Christina is the third among the network’s main presenters to decide to leave her position, following Eliana and Chris Flores.

Christina Rocha left SBT

Christina Rocha, 69, left SBT by “common agreement”, according to a statement released by the broadcaster last Thursday (2). “Christina is and will always be an important part of the history of the broadcaster, as well as Brazilian television, having contributed in a unique and valuable way to all the projects for which she was appointed”, began the note.

The presenter expressed herself in a video on social media, where she decided explain the real reason for leaving SBT. According to the former presenter of “Casos de Família”, she received an offer to run an electronic magazine on the channel, but ended up running “Tá na Hora”, a program for which she considered she had no profile.

Sad about not fitting into the afternoon schedule, she chose to leave Silvio Santos’ station. “I felt like ‘Tá na Hora’ wasn’t for me. I have many years of career and my business is more entertainment, everyone knows, but that’s okay. I started doing the pilots and when I got to the penultimate ones I started to see that it was there… right?”, said the presenter.

Eliana and Chris Flores also left the station

A presenter Eliana, 51 years old, is leaving SBT. The information was announced by the broadcaster itself on April 1st. According to the channel, the decision, which was made by the presenter herself, was made “in a mutual and friendly way”. She leaves the broadcaster in June this year.

Besides her, Chris Flores decided to end his contract and leave SBT after seven years on April 19 this year. In a long text on social media, the journalist, who ran Fofocalizando, spoke about leaving the channel as a “form of love”.
