Everyone is tired of knowing that plagiarism is a crime. Still, sometimes offenders go unnoticed for a while because they copied something not very well known (even if that’s not correct!), but doing so with a band the size of the Iron Maiden It shouldn’t even be considered.

This week, the rapper OsamaSon used his Instagram account to announce that he was being sued by the legendary metal band, according to the portal’s Twitter
Kurrco (via Metal Injection).

Supposedly, the lawsuit was filed after he used art of the famous mascot Eddie that was created for the album cover Powerslavereleased by bruce Dickinson and his companions in 1984.

The artist would have used the same image with very few changes on the cover of the deluxe version of his album Flex Musix (FLXTRA)released this year.

Rapper claims to be being sued by Iron Maiden

The cover of Iron Maiden’s classic album features an illustration signed by Derek Riggs in which Eddie appears mummified, being hit by several rays while biting a chain. In the version presented by OsamaSon, the image had its colors modified and dread-style hair, similar to that of the rapper, was added to the mascot.

Apparently, it is worth mentioning that the young rapper seems to be a fan of Metal, despite having plagiarized the renowned Iron Maiden. In the video for one of his most famous songs, “X & Sex”, OsamaSon appears wearing a t-shirt from the Death Metal band Facelift Deformation.

After the rapper’s publication on social media, it is possible that some fans went to Iron Maiden’s profile, which so far has not commented, to question them about the process. OsamaSon once again used his Instagram story to ask his followers not to disturb the band:

Let’s stay positive! Everyone loves Iron Maiden, thank you! Please stop harassing them.

You can compare the covers below, as well as check out the rapper’s first publication about the process in the post below and then see the video for “X & Sex”.
