Dream Theater’s touching song that talks about extremely delicate topics

According to LaBrie, the song in question talks about two very complicated topics, which unfortunately are far from being resolved and appear frequently in newspapers and other information vehicles.

“‘Anna Lee’ is about sexual abuse, an incestuous thing that I read about, so I wanted to write about this girl,” said LaBrie, who went into more detail about the story that inspired one of Dream Theater’s most touching songs.

“The name in the article wasn’t Anna, her name was Natalie. But the article talked about sex trafficking in third world countries and all that stuff. The article was loosely inspired by this: Sex trafficking in the South Pacific Rim, where a lot This happens, and in the Middle East. I wanted to write about this, so ‘Anna Lee’ is about sexual abuse – how women are completely mistreated. And there are also nuances of incest,” added the singer-songwriter.

“Falling Into Infinity” is the first (and last) Dream Theater album to feature the services of keyboardist Derek Sherinian. The album features interesting tracks, such as “You Not Me”, which was written by the band and hitmaker Desmond Child.
