A Amazon took advantage of the beginning of the year to integrate advertising into its Prime Video streaming service, also launching a new version (slightly more expensive) without any ads. However, it appears that Prime Video will soon have more advertisements.
The website Ars Technica says that subscribers to Prime Video’s cheapest plan will begin to see ads in a ‘carousel’ format during the playback of content and also when the user decides to pause the playback of series or films. Furthermore, during these pauses product advertisements may be displayed, which can be added to the Amazon virtual cart.
It is not yet known when these types of ads will start to be displayed, but Amazon said that the integration will take place over the next year.
