Exoneration at Santa Casa: minister promises more explanations in Parliament

-

The Minister of Labor and Social Security says she will only give further explanations about the dismissal from the Santa Casa board when she goes to Parliament.

This Thursday, questioned by journalists, Maria do Rosário Ramalho refused to respond to the provider Ana Jorgewho denied on Wednesday that he had withdrawn any benefits inherent to the position.

“I’m sorry, but no. Today I come here on another mission. I will go to Parliament next week, it would be disrespectful for the deputies to say anything other than in their own headquarters”, stated Minister Maria do Rosário Ramalho.

Remember that, in an interview with RTP, the government official accused the dismissed provider not only of having benefited financially, but also of have done nothing to reverse the situation of the institution.

In response, Ana Jorge said that in 50 years of Public Service it was the first time she felt mistreated. Determined to safeguard her good name, she promised to respond with numbers to the alleged slander and bad faith, of which she considers herself to be a victim.

The Government dismissed the ombudsman and the members of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa table and justified the decision with “seriously negligent actions” that affected the management of the institution.
