Liechtenstein is not yet on the list of ‘victims’ of CR7, the best scorer in football history with 828 goals in 1155 games

Cristiano Ronaldo is the best scorer in the history of football with 828 goals in 1155 games (between first team clubs and the A national team) and is also the top scorer in terms of national teams. Since his debut, the Portuguese star has already won 118 times for the Portuguese team and has done so for 46 teams from around the world.

Interestingly, Liechtenstein is not yet on the list of ‘victims’ of CR7 and, therefore, tonight’s game has an extra incentive for the captain, who will be able to fulfill the maxim of ‘the third time is for good’. Ronaldo has already faced the selection that is visiting Alvalade twice, both in qualifying for the 2006 Mundial. The first took place in October 2004, in Vaduz, in a tie (2-2). Pauleta scored one of Portugal’s goals (the other was an own goal) with assistance from CR7, who was in the starting line-up and left at 62′. The second meeting was a year later, at the Municipal de Aveiro, and the Portuguese won by 2-1. Ronaldo again assisted Pauleta in the 1st Portuguese goal and left (84′) to make way for Nuno Gomes, who in the next minute scored the winning goal.
