Marta Massada welcomes the turnout of FC Porto members at the FC Porto elections, attributing this merit to the challenge launched by the opposing list, led by André Villas-Boas. One of the vice-presidents of List A also praised the way in which the List B candidacy mobilized everyone.

“In fact, there is another candidate who mobilized a lot of people, a very strong candidate, with a very well-constructed candidacy and solid objectives. I believe that it was Villas-Boas’ candidacy that mobilized all these people. This moment for FC Porto is like this he asked and the members mobilized. They voted for the club. Regardless of who wins, from tomorrow the elected president will be the president of all members”, he began by saying.

The vice-presidential candidate also praised the way the elections took place, on a day that she considers historic for FC Porto. “This is the atmosphere. A day that is an ode to Porto. Thank you to all the members who mobilized for this wonderful environment and for the club’s interests. This day is clearly a victory for FC Porto. FC Porto is a democracy and the fact that the members make their vote and their voice count, they make democracy count. People came from outside the country and this shows the inevitable: FC Porto belongs to the members”.

Finally, after admitting that Pinto da Costa “is calm”, he revealed that whatever the result, the idea is to promote unity between the fans of the blue and white club. “FC Porto has always been united, interclass and, although we have been in an election campaign and opinions have diverged, I hope that the club remains indivisible tomorrow and that unity reigns. We will be here to help ensure that this is the case”, he concluded.
