The elected president of FC Porto, André Villas-Boas, considered on Saturday that the SAD members of the “dragons” are not understanding the will of the members, by creating an impasse in the passage of testimony.

The “blue and white” SAD had announced this Saturday the co-optation of José Pereira da Costa to the company’s administration, but Villas-Boas’ candidacy denied, shortly afterwards, this decision, as the administration did not accept giving “reinforced powers” to the financial administrator chosen by the newly elected club president.

“We remain at an impasse regarding the co-optation of our administration, because none of the SAD administrators want to resign from their post and we will only enter the SAD administration if we have full executive and veto power”, said Villas-Boas, before the meeting between FC Porto and Desportivo de Chaves, from the 32nd round of the League.

Thus, the former coach guarantees that they cannot “be hostage to an executive committee that can sign and dictate management acts” with one of its members already within the administration, ensuring that they will only enter with “resignation of current members or full executive power and with veto power” by José Pereira da Costa.

Villas-Boas considered that this is “a dragging on of a situation that is not justified”, because it is “postponing all structural decisions, such as the construction of the women’s football team, the probably construction of a new modality, renovations squad, structuring decisions regarding the academy, and then all the decisions that have to do with the sports society and the FC Porto Group”.

“All this is very sad, no one wants to remove people abruptly, now the electoral result was significant.
