«It’s for the First!!… It’s for the First!!» It was heard in Choupana from very early on and Nacional’s players didn’t disappoint. At home to FC Porto B, the Madeiran team scored a thrashing (4-0) and continues at a good pace towards the climb, just two points behind Santa Clara and with three more – in provisional form – from AVS.

In relation to the game, the team led by Tiago Margarido came with everything – suffocating and in control of the game – and, after a few warnings, the goal was not long in coming. After a guided (and unpredictable) pass from Witi – FC Porto B’s defense, somewhat disorganized, was unable to stop Jesús Ramírez’s momentum -, the forward did what he wanted, bypassed Gonçalo Ribeiro and, calmly, opened the scoring.

At 21′, a few minutes later, the Madeiran pressure had an effect: Braima Sambú couldn’t resist Carlos Daniel’s aggression, Jesús – this time – assisted Witi Quembo and the winger, with great quality and refinement, put it in place for the second. Until the end of the first half, FC Porto B had some attempts, but it was Nacional who were always closer to third.

Furthermore, there were 10 (!) shots in the first half, compared to just one. In between, Gonçalo Ribeiro still shone, having been the main highlight of the Porto team in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, Nacional pulled back the lines – FC Porto B took more control, especially after Folha’s changes – but remained more dangerous and more successful. The young Porto goalkeeper kept postponing the goals, but, at 87′ and 90+2′, Jesús Ramírez and Dudu tried to close the score of the game.

The first, scored again in a move very similar to the first goal – he rounded Gonçalo Ribeiro and finished -, while Dudu, through a combination, did not hesitate in the face of the goalkeeper after Danilovic’s pass.
