«It is a third-person action and adventure game, where players control a sorcerer with access to a set of spells and magic». This is the main concept of Hexrite, the ‘Best Game’ winner of the 2023 edition of the PlayStation Talents Awards.

Hexrite was created by Vasco Bento (Phabula Games) and its main arguments are the «narrative, the combat part and the interaction with the characters». The programmer draws a parallel with some older titles: «It’s based on the games we played in the PlayStation 2 era, those adventure games that had a campaign».

As with games that win this award, Hexrite has the possibility of reaching the online store for Sony consoles. Vasco Bento also receives ten thousand euros to continue developing his title and will have access to a “promotion and marketing campaign on PlayStation channels valued at fifty thousand euros”.

The game is also available on Steam, with a release date yet to be announced. For PC, the minimum requirements will be a Dual Core 2.4 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM, graphics card with 2 GB VRAM, DirectX 10+ and 8 GB of free disk space.

In addition to winning the ‘Best Game of 2023’ award, Hexrite also won the Press Award. These were the remaining winners of this edition of the PlayStation Talents Awards:

Most Innovative Game: Unseen Value (Marema Studios)

Best Children’s Game:
