Samsung’s next generation of foldable smartphones may even see the addition of an “Ultra” version in one of the models. The Dutch website Galaxy Club is yet another source talking about the topic, reinforcing the already speculated possibility of an announcement by the South Korean.
According to the page, the model will be called Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra and is already developed internally under the codename SM-F958. The nomenclature must be maintained, especially because the Galaxy S24 Ultra is also known as SM-S928 — the number “8” at the end indicates that this is the most powerful variant.
However, this version would be under development to be initially released only in South Korea, still in experimental format. This is because there are no details that its stock will be enough to expand sales to other territories, such as the United States and Europe.
So far, the information should be treated as a rumor, as there is no confirmation from the manufacturer. Speculations that it will also launch a more affordable version of one of its foldable smartphones have also been circulating for some time, but so far they have not come to fruition.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are on the way
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is Samsung’s next foldable cell phone in a format that “expands” the screen when opened, placing it close to a tablet. The model has already had some supposed images released, with important changes to the structure.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6, which is the shell-shaped variant, has not yet had so many details leaked. There is only information about the existence of four colors for the model, in addition to a structural change to add possible larger internal and external screens.
The smartphone duo should be presented in July this year, during the next Galaxy Unpacked event. The conference should also serve as the stage for the official presentation of the Galaxy Ring, Samsung’s smart ring.
