The famous Grand Theft Auto V could be on its way to Android and Nintendo Switch. This possibility arose after an unexpected leak of the game’s source code, which is already circulating through ‘other people’.
In December 2023, hackers released the full source code for GTA V. The revelation follows a similar incident with the GTA VI code. In this case, it occurred in September 2022.
The code was initially sold for a considerable sum. It is estimated at 50,000 dollars. Now it serves as a basis for independent programmers to explore the possibility of bringing the game to platforms such as Android, Linux and Nintendo Switch, as revealed by GTA Focal.
Gameplay on these systems is not yet a reality
Despite the enthusiasm, efforts to adapt GTA V to these new platforms remain at an early stage. For now, the game can only load on these systems, and a lot of work is needed for the gameplay itself to become a reality.
