Nintendo continues without announcing its next console, for now known as Switch 2, which continues to motivate enormous speculation about its plans for its next generation of video games. After several unofficial information, we now have a new report that talks about the size of the console and what Nintendo has prepared for its new controls.

According to Vandal, several accessory manufacturers had the opportunity to discover some details about the Nintendo Switch 2, which they say is a larger console than the current Nintendo Switch, but smaller than the Steam Deck.

Vandal also says that you won’t be able to use the current Switch’s Joy-Cons, as the console is larger and will use a new magnetic system to attach the controls to the screen where the games run. However, it has not been commented whether you will be able to use the Joy-Cons via Bluetooth to play new generation Nintendo games, only that the Pro controller can be used on the new console.

What Vandal managed to discover is that the console will only arrive at the beginning of 2025, with a strong probability of allowing games to be played on the current Nintendo Switch, it will be equipped with Nvidia technologies such as DLSS and an Nvidia chip based on the Ampere architecture of the RTX 30 graphics.
