Apple removes AI apps from its store that can generate nude images

A Apple removed some App Store AI apps who are capable of generate images. According to a report from the 404 Media portal, these applications were removed due to the possibility of create nude images. In fact, the report was what helped Apple find these programs.

It all started with ads for apps on Instagram, promoted as tools that can undress any woman’s photo for free. In fact, some of these advertisements contained links that took the user directly to the application’s page on the App Store, described simply as “art generator”.

Apple went after 404 Media for more information regarding this situation. In this way, the links to the applications and advertisements were sent to the company, which removed the apps from the store. See an excerpt from the report below:

Apple has removed several AI imaging apps from the App Store after 404 Media discovered that these apps advertised the ability to create non-consensual nude images, a sign that app store operators are starting to take more action against these types of applications.

Overall, Apple removed three apps from the App Store, but only after we provided the company with links to the specific apps and their related advertisements, indicating that the company was unable to find the apps that violated its own policy.
