Threads receives system to hide publications with certain terms

-

Meta continues to launch some new features for Threads users, and recently, the platform received a new feature that can help control the content presented on it.

With the latest update, Threads now allows users to hide posts that have specific terms, preventing them from appearing when browsing the timeline.

With this functionality, users can choose a term, phrase or even emoji that they do not want to see on the platform, and content containing these terms will be removed from the timeline. It should be noted that this function does not remove content from appearing in searches and directly when accessing profiles, being only focused on the content recommended in the timeline.

This system can be a way for users to remove content that is not of interest to them, or that is going viral on the platform and is no longer intended to be seen.

Another new feature is in terms of notifications, where users can now disable notifications for content they have interacted with. For example, when leaving a comment on the post, users can now disable subsequent notifications about replies or other comments posted to it.

This function can help reduce the number of unnecessary notifications within the application, and avoid distractions.

Both new features are being provided to Threads users starting today, so it may take a few days to reach all accounts.
