Last week, Microsoft presented its most recent financial report, in which it informed us of the incredible leap that the video games division achieved in its revenue, throughout the first three months of 2024. This period was marked by the arrival of several Microsoft games Gaming on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, which deserved a mention from Satya Nadella.

Microsoft’s CEO commented to investors that at one point in March, Xbox was responsible for 7 of the 25 most reserved games on Sony’s PlayStation Store, which served as a demonstration of interest in its games and an apparent incentive to continue the initiative.

Nadella told investors, thank you VGC, that “we are committed to meeting gamers where they are by bringing great games to more people on more devices.”

For now, Nadella has not said whether they are already working on converting more Xbox games for PlayStation and Nintendo consoles, but suggests that these first efforts have been well received and reinforce the impetus to continue this new strategy.

In February, Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, suggested that everything would depend on the players and the success of their efforts, not ruling out the possibility of games like Indiana Jones eventually coming to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles.
