According to information published by the 9to5Google page, the new functionality was detected on Pixel phones and tablets with Android 14 and version 40.6.31 of the Play Store. According to the website, the new feature can be more easily noticed when the user tries to download and install 2 robust applications at the same time.
It is possible to monitor apps as they are downloaded and installed, both through the Play Store and on the home screen, where the application icon should already appear. The new feature promises to be very useful for moments such as setting up a new Android cell phone.
The new functionality for downloading and installing simultaneous Android applications, however, only focuses on new installations and has a limit of 2 apps at a time. In other words, the feature will not work on application updates or for more than 2 apps, which will continue to appear as “pending”.
