The new iPad Pro models will be officially announced on May 7th during Apple’s “Get Loose” event and a new rumor suggests that the brand’s premium tablets will have the best OLED panels on the market. The information comes from reliable analyst Ross Young .
In publication in Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), the CEO of the screen analysis firm highlights that the new iPad Pro models will have, “by far, the best OLED panels in a tablet on the market.”
The expectation is that Apple will use an OLED screen instead of the previously used Mini LED and LCD panels for maximum control over contrast, color and brightness thanks to self-illuminating pixels.
In addition, the LPTO technology already present in iPhone Pro models will make the ProMotion screen more energy efficient, allowing the refresh rate to automatically adjust up to 120 Hz depending on what is displayed.
According to Young, the new OLED panel on the iPad Pro will bring thinner and lighter screens to Apple tablets, offering a very high level of brightness, long battery life and greater display durability.
Based on the most recent leaks, the new iPad Pro models will feature OLED screens in sizes of 11 and 13 inches and may be equipped with the unprecedented Apple M4 chip instead of the previously expected M3.

Apple’s goal would be to offer maximum performance for the tablet and guarantee all the upcoming generative artificial intelligence features that should arrive with the next iPadOS 18, the announcement of which will take place at WWDC 2024 on June 10.
Apple tablets are also expected to have a redesigned look offering an even thinner body, Face ID repositioned horizontally and possible support for MagSafe for charging and new accessories.
