Saying that Huawei no longer needs anyone else to develop and produce smartphones is a clear exaggeration. However, the Chinese giant is now able to source more than 90% of its components from Chinese suppliers, instead of having to go abroad in search of solutions.

Be it the processor, the RAM chips, the OLED screen, etc… It’s all local! Did the “ban” create a monster?

The new Huawei Pure 70

Therefore, after a few years of difficulties, which in reality still continue because Huawei does not have access to the latest and most powerful technologies in the mobile world, the reality is that the Chinese giant has been able to reinvent itself, and as such, continues to bring lots of good innovation to the market.

A good example is the new range of Pure 70 devices, more specifically the Pure 70 Ultra, which even features a retractable lens reminiscent of the powerful dedicated cameras of yesteryear.

More specifically, Huawei is sourcing components from the Chinese companies OFILM, HNLens Technology, Goertek, Sunny Optical, BOE, Goodix Technology, and Crystal Optoelectronics. It is even possible that there are enough components, of high quality, for a European launch within a very short time.

Interestingly, even on the production process side, Huawei is about to make the leap to SMIC’s 5nm. Something that should happen with the Mate 70 in the second half of 2024.

In other words, all the control that the United States tried to put over Huawei ended up creating a different company! A manufacturer with more weapons to launch more and more products in Europe, as well as in other regions.

Huawei is a case study! Even after everything that has happened, it remains very active, continues to launch all types of products, and seems to continue with a huge desire to win.
