The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called around 20:45, but the man, who was shot, was already lifeless and the rescuers only found the death.

According to rescuers, he was shot in the arm, abdomen and thigh region.

According to information from the PM, the man would have reacted to an approach by a ROTAM team and, therefore, was shot.

The identity of the victim, approximately 30 years old, has not yet been released. The Legal Medical Institute (IML) was called to collect the body.

On the afternoon of this Thursday (22), a man died in confrontation with the Military Police (PM), on the Carlos João Strass highway, north of Londrina. According to preliminary information, the victim, identified as Jonas Alexandrino Prado, 30, was alone and was driving a white Gol model vehicle.

According to the PM, the suspect would have disobeyed the voice of approach and there was an exchange of fire with the police. Siate and Samu teams were called, but the man could not resist and died on the spot.

According to Captain Castro, inside the vehicle were drugs and a weapon. The man was wearing a street sweeper’s uniform, but he does not work for the company. In addition, he had three open arrest warrants, one of them for aggravated murder.

“The man was carrying a fake driver’s license. It was quite rustic and we went to check the system and the name did not match the photo. Soon after, P2 began to do diligence in search of information and the relatives themselves were at the location and ended up giving the suspect’s name. Based on this information, it was checked in the system and it was verified that the man had three open arrest warrants. Two are unclear, but one of them is for qualified homicide”, said the captain.
