The singer Claudisabel died in a car accident this morning on the A2, near Alcácer do Sal.
The death of Cláudia Isabel Leiria Madeira, aged 40, was confirmed on the artist’s official Facebook page.
“Her voice, joy and directness that characterize her make Portuguese music and everyone who had the opportunity to know and share with her poorer”, reads the publication.
In this accident, which killed Claudisabel, another person was injured. The collision between two light vehicles took place on Highway 2 (A2), near Alcácer do Sal.
A source from the Setúbal District Command for Relief Operations (CDOS) indicated that the alert was given at 1:55 am.
In statements to Lusa, the firefighter commander stressed that the car in which the singer was traveling overturned following the collision and that rescue operations involved carrying out “extrication and advanced rescue work”.
The singer’s death was declared on the spot by the doctor of the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) of the Hospital do Litoral Alentejano, in Santiago.
