A 21-year-old lost his life after crashing at 240 km/h at a toll booth on a highway in Chile. Security cameras at the scene recorded the moment and showed the car being completely destroyed by impact.

The driver violently crashed into a concrete barrier at the Ruta 5 South toll plaza, located in Purranque, Los Lagos Region, in Chile.

With the crash, debris from the vehicle spread across the scene and the car was immediately engulfed in flames. The driver was thrown out of the vehicle and died instantly.

According to police, the young man was already speeding along the highway. According to Francisco Rubilar, head of the traffic accident division of the Chilean police:

Investigations were carried out and tracks and traces were collected to verify the reason for the collision of this vehicle with the concrete structure at the toll booth located at this location.”
