Body of Saae employee murdered by colleague with backhoe will be buried in Minas Gerais on Thursday | Sao Carlos and Araraquara

After the farewell, the body of Iebel Garcia Silva, 41 years old, will be taken to São João Batista do Glória (MG), 265 km from São Carlos, where he will be buried. Burial is scheduled to take place in the afternoon, but the time has not yet been set.

Saae São Carlos employee runs over and kills a co-worker with a backhoe

Silva was an employee of the Autonomous Water and Sewage Service (Saae) and died this Wednesday morning after being run over by another employee of the municipality (check out the video above; the images are strong).

According to Saae, the hit-and-run is another employee, Milton César Magalhães, 44 years oldwho fled after the crime (see full notice from the municipality below).

The homicide took place on George Ptak Street, in Jardim São Paulo, close to a local authority unit.

In the images from a camera, Silva appears on a motorcycle down the street when Magalhães hits him with the backhoe. The victim collides with a car and then is run over. O employee drives the vehicle over the colleague, who is unable to get out.

The victim remains motionless on the ground and the man still uses the backhoe scoop to hit the victim multiple times. Then the man gets out of the vehicle to see if the man is still alive. Then he flees the scene with the backhoe, which was found in the Azulville neighborhood.

The author would have fled in a truck and is wanted by the police.

Employee runs over and kills co-worker with backhoe in São Carlos

The dead employee has been a Saae driver since 2009. Magalhães has also been a Saae heavy machine operator since 2009. The motive for the crime is still unknown and the Civil Police are investigating whether it was premeditated.

In a note, the city hall regretted what happened and said that the municipal authority is providing assistance to the victim’s family, as well as collaborating with police investigations. (See below for full placement).

As ascertained by g1the criminal and the victim belonged to the same sector of the municipality, but did not work together.

Saae reported that, in 2014, a fight was recorded between the two employees in the external parking lot of the municipality. An internal inquiry was opened and the two were punished with 30 days of suspension. The reason for the fight was not disclosed.

The Military Police were called to register the case, which will be investigated by the Civil Police.

In the first note released, Saae regretted what happened and reported that it is providing assistance to the victim’s family. Later, the municipality corrected the crime scene and spoke about the fight that occurred in 2014 between the two employees. See below:

Unlike what was said in the previous note, SAAE São Carlos clarifies that the death of an employee by another did not occur inside the unit of the autarchy, but in the vicinity, on Rua George Ptak, in Jardim São Paulo. Updated information shows that the perpetrator of the crime waited for the arrival of the victim who was on a motorcycle and threw the backhoe on top of him. He lost control, hit a car, fell and that’s when the accused drove the excavator over the body and fled.

The backhoe was found early this morning by the Municipal Guard near the Educational School.
