Paragliding pilot body rescue in ES
After the death of the Swiss paragliding pilot Dan Morand, 35 years old, and the rescue of the Spanish pilot Jesus Costa Sanchez, 45 years old, this Wednesday (22nd), the organization of the Paragliding World Cup, which takes place in Castelo, Sul do Espírito Santo, decided to suspend the next tests of the competition, which were scheduled to take place this Thursday (23).

The pilot died this Wednesday morning after jumping from the Rampa de Ubá, during a stage of the World Cup of the sport that is being played in the city of Espírito Santo.
At the end of the morning, around 11:50 am, teams from the Air Operations and Transport Nucleus (Notaer) were called in by the Military Fire Department to rescue a paraglider in an accident in a region known as Patrimônio Do Ouro.
On the same day, there were two accidents recorded. Minutes after the accident that took the life of the Swiss, another pilot, the Spaniard Jesus Costa Sanchez, 45 years old, crashed in an area that is also difficult to access, but was rescued without serious injuries.
According to a team from the Operations and Air Transport Nucleus (Notaer), which was called by the Fire Department, the Spaniard was rescued by the helicopter, removed from the site using the basket equipment. Despite the accident, the second injured driver is fine.
