Reserve PM who owns a shooting club is killed with rifle shots when he stops at a traffic light in ES | Holy Spirit

A reserve sub-lieutenant of the Espírito Santo Military Police was killed with two shots to the chest this Sunday morning (30), when he stopped his car at a traffic light, on the Darly Santos highway, in Vila Velha, in Greater Vitória.

The victim, Antônio Augusto Blank, owned a shooting club in Bubu, Cariacica, also in Greater Vitória.

At the time of the crime, around 5:30 am, the Reserve PM was with a friend, who is a shooting instructor, and the two were on their way to the shooting club, where a championship was to take place.

According to witnesses, Antônio Augusto stopped at a red light and another car that followed a street parallel to the highway stopped near the car where the victim and his friend were. A man got out, went to the car and shot the reserve sub-lieutenant.

Despite the sub-lieutenant being armed, he was unable to pick up the weapon in time and was hit by two shots in the chest. His friend, who was in the passenger seat, escaped unharmed. The suspects fled after the crime.

Part of the highway area where the murder took place has been cordoned off. Civil Police experts and investigators were at the scene.

Relatives and friends of the victim were also at the scene, but did not want to speak with the report.

Large caliber ammunition and approximately R$ 8 thousand in cash were found in the victim’s car.

The body of Antônio Augusto Blank was sent to the Legal Medical Department (DML) of Vitória. The case is investigated by the Civil Police.
