The singer’s death was confirmed this Wednesday by an aide. Tina Turner, the author of other hits such as “What’s Love Got to Do With It” and “We Don’t Need Another Hero”, has died at her home in Switzerland “after a long illness”.
The artist, who gave a historic pre-game show for the XXXIV edition of the Super Bowl in 2000, also had a long relationship with the sport throughout her life; before becoming a singer, she cheerleaded at school and played basketball.
