Another chapter in the investigation into the death of actor Jeff Machado begins to unfold. This time, suspicions fall on a man, tenant of the house where the actor’s body was found, in Campo Grande, in the west zone of Rio.
The information was given by the actor’s family lawyer, Jairo Magalhães, in an interview with Record TV Rio. According to the lawyer, the man knew Jeff and the actor had been seen around the neighborhood, entering the property a month before the disappearance.
The news arrives two days after the Police Station for the Discovery of Whereabouts (DPPA), which was investigating the disappearance, confirmed that it found the actor’s body.

What catches the attention of the police is that the actor was found buried in a trunk, in the backyard of the house. Jeff had several trunks similar to the one found in the investigator’s house.
“There were others [baús] at Jefferson’s house. The investigations follow the line that [o corpo] was taken through the trunk to this house”, said the lawyer.
Jeff’s body was found in a highly decomposed state, but forensics found signs of strangulation, through the examination of fingerprints.
The owner of the house in which the investigator lived was heard on the morning of this Wednesday (24). She claimed she didn’t know the victim and never had contact with her.
The Civil Police reported that the case is being investigated as homicide and concealment of a corpse, and that it is also investigating the motive for the crime.
