Nuno Markl recalled, this Wednesday, on social media, one of the projects in which he most enjoyed participating.
“Six years ago today, one of the happiest projects of my life premiered on RTP. An old outline for a short film, written in the early 2000s, called ‘O Videoclube’, expanded into a little neighborhood epic called 1986.”he wrote on Instagram.
“A Romeo and Juliet in which Montéquios and Capulets are supporters of Freitas and Soares in a tense election season and where all of us who wrote it – me, Ana Markl, Filipe Homem Fonseca, Joana Vilela – and whoever produced it and accomplished – Henrique Oliveira – we fondly deposited our own memories”said Nuno Markl.
“Doing this was just a pleasure, none of the pain that is normally associated with television projects. We all rowed in the same direction, behind and in front of the cameras.”highlighted Nuno Markl, noting that it was “such a large and complete project that everything was thought out in detail”.
“I feel like it was a perfect, unrepeatable storm. I’m happy that the series is still seen and reviewed on RTP Play today. The possibilities of this universe coming back bubble in my mind, even if not on TV – a comic book? A musical? I don’t know, but I feel like we’ll go back to ’86, a place where we were happy.”continued Nuno Markl.
