“Mom, Isaac ran over”: alert announced accident that killed 10-year-old boy – Capital

“Mommy, Isaac ran over me.” Her son’s frightened warning made housewife Acácia da Conceição Silva, 34, run for three blocks until she reached where the other child had crashed. Initially, she thought he had fallen off his bike and injured himself, but what she saw made her back away. “It was a bus bigger than this house here and Isaac was underneath it.”

The accident happened last night, on West Point Street, on the Blue Danube. Today, neighbors were gathered on the street where the boy’s family lives, waiting for news of the wake.

In the group was Acácia, a few meters from Issac’s house. She told the reporter that, shortly before the accident, the boy had stopped by her house to call his friend, also 10 years old. Acácia believes that they were going to the house of another colleague, who lives close to the accident site.

In the images, it is possible to see that the boy, on a bicycle, crosses the preferential route and ends up being hit by an intercity bus. Just behind, it is possible to see another boy who manages to make the turn and passes alongside the vehicle.

After that, Acacia’s son returns home and alerts his mother. Upon seeing the scene of the accident, the housewife returned to ask for help, finding another neighbor. “He saw how scared I was, took his son, got in the car and went there, but there was nothing we could do either.” Whoever was on the bus also called for help.

The boy was taken to the UPA (Emergency Care Unit) of Nova Bahia, with head trauma, in serious condition. He died during treatment.

Acácia says that Isaac lived with his mother and grandmother in the house. Her father, according to her, was undergoing medical treatment, far away. The boy was known in the neighborhood, as were other boys who always played together. He studied at the Consulesa Margarida Maksoud Trad municipal school.

“A good, polite boy, it’s a difficult time, because a son is a son, even though he’s not our son, it hurts a lot, I’m heartbroken, each one was a little father, mother and grandmother, and our children, brothers ”.

This morning, the family was still at Imol (Institute of Medicine and Forensic Dentistry) for the procedures to release the body.
