50-year-old trader dies in an accident between cars on BR-459, in Caldas, MG | South of Minas

A 50-year-old woman died after an accident between two cars on BR-459, in Caldas (MG), on Monday night (18). According to the Federal Highway Police, a couple who were in the other vehicle were injured.

The incident was recorded around 7pm, at km 29.5. According to the PRF, the woman was traveling in the Classic car heading towards Pouso Alegre towards Poços de Caldas, when she allegedly invaded the opposite lane and crashed into an HB20 car that was traveling in the opposite direction.

The HB20, which had two occupants, rolled on the track. A 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were taken to the emergency room in Caldas by the EPR Sul de Minas dealership.

Still according to the PRF, the driver had to be taken to Santa Casa de Poços de Caldas for a CT scan, but both were stable and conscious.

According to the PRF, with the impact of the crash, the Classic car stopped in another direction. Due to the dynamics of the accident, the suspicion is that the vehicle driven by the woman invaded the road.

Civil Police experts were at the scene to collect elements to investigate the accident.

Both vehicles had their documentation up to date. The couple’s car went to the PRF yard because there was no person responsible to remove it. The woman’s car was released to a family member.

According to the PRF, the woman is the owner of a restaurant that is close to the scene of the accident. Her body remains at the Legal Medical Institute (IML) of Poços de Caldas.
