The murdered couple, António Maria da Costa and Ana Maria de Oliveira da Costa, both 79 years old, moved residents of Congonhinhas, in the pioneering north of Paraná. Their son was arrested on suspicion of the crime.
On social media, friends and family wrote emotional farewell messages to the couple. “We said goodbye to two beloved residents who were part of our community for so many years. Today Congonhinhas loses two special figures, whose presence will be forever missed in our hearts. May they find the peace they deserve. Rest in peace, dear friends.”
Among the comments were “Dona Maria is a sweet person, sweet and beautiful as always”, “May God grant them eternal rest” and “My condolences”.
