Among those arrested are the brothers Domingos Brazão, current advisor to the State Court of Auditors, Chiquinho Brazão, federal deputy from Rio de Janeiro, and Rivaldo Barbosa, former head of Rio’s Civil Police. The three reached the Federal Police Superintendency ( PF) in Rio de Janeiro, this Sunday morning (24).

Vehicles with seized materials have also arrived at police headquarters. In addition to the three arrest warrants, the PF also carries out 12 search and seizure warrants, all in Rio de Janeiro.

The action was authorized by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF). Operation Murder Inc., as it was called, is formed by the Federal Police, the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) and the Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ).

The investigation understands that the Marielle case was one of execution, due to the political work carried out by the parliamentarian. Driver Anderson Gomes also died in the episode, which occurred in March 2018.
