Digi is arriving in Portugal and will not leave anyone indifferent! With the promise of low prices, the Portuguese have already spoken out…

You’ve probably heard about Digi Portugal, a new operator that promises substantially lower prices than those currently practiced in the Portuguese market. In recent weeks, this enormous expectation has gained more strength since, according to several sources – Expresso or Contas Poupança – the launch of this new player was scheduled to take place in the first four months of the year. However, to ECO, a company source denied this prediction, but did not give any date.

At the beginning of February, the new president of National Communications Authority (ANACOM), Sandra Maximiano, praised the Romanian company. The top person in charge believes that with the “aggressive offers […] will create reaction” of the remaining players. We also learned that it will simultaneously make available fixed and mobile servicesincluding fiber optic and 5G offers.

In recent days, in a survey – with more than 5,600 responses – carried out by Pplware, the vast majority of Portuguese (82%) revealed that he intends to switch to this new operator. The most fascinating thing is that there is still no price list for the services. However, the prices that Digi charges in Spain will be an indicator of what we can expect in our country.

A SIM card with 10GB of mobile data and unlimited calls and 500 Mbps Internet costs 20 euros monthly. If you only want to have Internet, it is also possible. Thus, 500Mbps costs 15 euros per month; 1Gbps costs 20 euros per month and 10Gbps costs 25 euros. Additionally, there are plan options with 10 GB of mobile data and unlimited calls from seven euros per monthas well as a plan with 100 GB of mobile data for 20 euros per month.

And you, will you also switch to Digi as soon as you can?
