We already know the prices! Tesla presents Model 3 Performance with 460 hp

Tesla has just presented the new, sportier version of its entry-level model, the Model 3, which, in addition to the Performance designation, announces a power above 460 hp, capable of guaranteeing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1s, along with a top speed of 262 km/h. All this, with an entry price of over 50 thousand euros.

Starting from the latest generation, which is the most affordable model of the North American electric car brand, Tesla promoted updates to the chassis hardware, improvements to the driving and suspension systems, as well as an increase in torsional rigidity, accompanied by the update of springs, stabilizer bars and bushings, in order to achieve, in the Model 3 Performance, “an affordable, fun and versatile sports car, with an exciting drive in a straight line and in curves”.

Helping to achieve these goals is a state-of-the-art Track mode, now with adaptive suspension controls, which, when activated, allows you to customize balance management, stability controls and regenerative braking, through a new user interface. .

In terms of braking, the standard integration of high-performance brake pads, with calipers painted in red, but still perfectly visible behind 20” staggered wheels, made of forged aluminum, and covered with sporty summer tires .

As for the powertrain, made up of two electric motors guaranteeing permanent all-wheel drive (Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive), Tesla promises power above 460 hp, capable of guaranteeing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, as well as an announced maximum speed of 262 km/h.

In terms of aesthetics, the announcement of a different design from that displayed by the other versions, with new front and rear panels, helping to create a more vigorous style, accompanied by better aerodynamics, cooling ducts, rear diffuser and carbon fiber spoiler.

In the cabin, which includes a 15.4” central screen and an 8” rear screen, new sports seats with improved cushions and side supports, providing greater lateral support, in addition to being heated and ventilated. Along with this, carbon fiber finishes and a unique fabric pattern, exclusive to the North American brand.

Finally, with regard to prices and sales dates, Tesla reveals that the Model 3 Performance will be available from €55,990, that is, 16 thousand euros more than the standard entry-level version (€39,990).

As for the delivery of the first units, they are expected to begin at the beginning of the second quarter of 2024.
