One day before the much-desired fiftieth anniversary of the 25th of April, the Extraordinary Municipal Assembly of Moura dedicates the Solemn Session of today, the 24th, at 9pm, the date that marked Portugal, with the opening of the National Anthem sung by the Conservatory Choir of Baixo Alentejo, Moura section.

Shortly afterwards, the Commemorative Seal of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April will be released and each of the political forces represented in the Municipal Assembly of Moura will make a communication alluding to the occasion. The first is the president of the Amareleja Parish Council, Alfredo Guerra, followed by the CHEGA party with Rui Rodrigues, the Unitary Democratic Coalition by Helena Pais and the Socialist Party, will be João Diniz.

The president of the Moura City Council, Álvaro Azedo and the president of the Municipal Assembly, José Velez, will make two interventions on the Carnation Revolution.
Around 10:25 pm, a lecture will take place based on the theme of the date, with guest speaker Francisco Moita Flores, the writer from Moura who has been sharing various reflections on the 25th of April on his social networks.
The session ends around 11pm with one of the revolution’s keynotes, “Grândola Vila Morena”, starring students from the Moura Conservatory.
At midnight, the launch of fireworks celebrates the entry into April 25th, the most important moment in the country’s history.
