Navigator toilet paper and napkins are up to 10% more expensive

-

The price of Navigator tissue paper (i.e. paper such as toilet paper, napkins, kitchen rolls, among others) will increase between 8% and 10% in all markets where the company operates, starting next month, as announced this Wednesday in a statement.

The decision is already being communicated to customers and was taken “following the accelerated reversal of the cycle that has been accentuated since last August 2023, when a very significant increase in production costs began, particularly in paper pulp, the main factor in the cost of tissue production”.

According to the company’s note, the international pulp price reference index (short fiber) has risen 65% since August 2023, and last week, the pulp price for May was announced and this will be the highest price ever seen historically in the sector, representing an additional increase of 10% compared to this week’s price.

The company indicates that this measure is “exceptional”, but “essential to guarantee the long-term sustainability” of the business model and the financial balance and global supply chain.
