Following an alert received at 3:45 pm, by a member of the public who was nearby and saw the canine fall from the cliff, members of the Peniche Maritime Police, as well as firefighters, were called to the scene.
Upon arrival at the location, members of the Maritime Police verified that the cave where the dog was located was difficult to access, and crew members from the Peniche Lifeguard Station were immediately activated, who, upon accessing the cave, rescued the animal and placed it there. in an area suitable for being lifted by firefighters.
Despite the fall, the dog was returned to its owners unharmed.
