A man confessed to killing a woman and her ten-year-old son, and solved a case that had been unsolved since the 2000s. Larry Webb, aged 82, is on the verge of death in Virginia, in the United States.

According to the WSAZ portal, Larry confessed that he shot and killed Susan Carter, 41, and her daughter, Natasha, in 2000. He buried both bodies in a grave in a forest near his home.

The man, in addition to admitting responsibility for the crime, indicated to investigators the place where he buried the bodies. The remains were recovered on Monday, about six hours after Larry’s death at the Mount Olive Correctional Complex, a prison in Fayette County.

He allegedly got into a fight with Susan, who lived in his house with her daughter, and shot her. The man said he was missing money and believed she had taken it and spent it. He killed Susan’s daughter so there would be no witnesses.

After killing them both, he stored the bodies in the basement and cried himself to sleep. The next day, he buried them in the forest near his house.

The crime took place in 2000, but Larry was indicted for Natasha’s death in October 2023 and arrested the same month, after the FBI took over the investigation. The agents found a bullet embedded in the wall of the house, in the room where the girl’s bedroom would be.

The child’s father was in a custody battle with Susan at the time of the crime. He said he was grateful to investigators for closing the case.
