A MotoGP held this Saturday the sprint race at Spanish GPin Jerez. The victory went to Jorge Martin. In a hotly contested sprint that had crashes both at the end of the grid and at the beginning, Pedro Acosta It is Dani Pedrosa completed the top3.
Whoever was third at the checkered flag was Fabio Quartararo, but the driver was punished for eight seconds, as he did not comply with the minimum tire pressure rule. With the punishment, Pedrosa took over the post. This was the driver’s first podium since 2017.

The race
Right at the start, Marc Marquez lost the lead to Brad Binder. The pilot of Gresini came in third place, as Jorge Martin surpassed him on the opening lap too. A few meters later, Martin overtook Binder and took the lead of the 12-lap race.
Another highlight in the first round was Pedro Acosta. The rookie started in tenth and moved up two positions in just one lap.
On the second lap, Márquez overtook Binder to take second place. The gap to leader Martin was greater than 1 second. Márquez got closer, until on lap six he got the better of him and took the lead. However, two laps later he fell alone. The Gresini driver finished the race in seventh.
The race was marked by several crashes. Another highlight that went to brita is Francesco Bagnaia. He did not complete the test. Maverick Vinales who was in third place, also crashed with three laps remaining in the race.
