This afternoon, CD Tondela will host Benfica B at the João Cardoso Stadium, in a game counting for the 31st round of the II League. The Auriverdes have not yet scored since Sérgio Gaminha took over as coach of the team, following the departure of Tozé Marreco.
Speaking to the club’s channels, the coach guarantees that the players are focused on the three points. “We are growing day by day, we naturally need time, but we are not going to hold on to that. We owe it to Tondela, the club, the fans and the journey that took us until the day I arrived here. We owe quality, dignity, dedication and above all a team that is ready to fight for the three points. Until the end, there are still games to be played with opponents fighting for different goals, but we owe them all, those who come to watch our games and even the championship, dignity, commitment and respect”, said Sérgio Gaminha in the preview.
CD Tondela’s left-back, Luís Rocha, also guarantees that the objective is victory. “We worked well and we are focused on changing this phase in which we had two negative results, which we are not used to. We will face a difficult team, the ‘B’ teams are always irreverent and have no problem taking over the game. We are ready for this, we know what we have to do to get back on the winning track, which is the most important thing,” he said.
