Agricultural machines, such as large harvesters, can be priced like Ferraris at Agrishow

It begins this Sunday (28), in Ribeirão Preto, a municipality 370 km from São Paulo, with the official opening of the event at Agrishow – 29th International Fair of Agricultural Technology in Action, which ends on Friday (3). Created in 1994, it has become the largest meeting of companies, startups, research and education bodies, financial institutions and producer groups in the country.

Agrishow has also become a reference outside the country and is often placed alongside one of the most famous in the world, the Farm Progress Show, a traveling event, but always within the circuit of important cities in the Midwest of the USA, among they Illinois, where the 2023 was.

But, unlike the North American fair, with its exclusive focus on technologies, in Brazil Agrishow is also a great moment for the sale of machinery and equipment. And if the product, which can cost more than R$5 million, isn’t sold right away, that’s where many businesses start. It is worth noting that at Direct Imports, in the capital of São Paulo, it is possible to buy a 2024 Ferrari SF90 Spider, the first hybrid on the market, a biturbo with three electric motors and eight gears, for R$4.890 million. A candidate for quotations not far from there is the X9-1100 harvester from the multinational John Deere, which will be presented for the first time in Brazil, during the fair.

Agrishow organizers expect to receive around 200,000 visitors to the 800 national and international exhibitors, including 100 newcomers. The expected participation is around 50 countries.

Last year, R$13.290 billion in business started between exhibitors and visitors was recorded, representing an increase of 18% compared to the previous edition. For this edition of the fair, although commodity prices are under pressure, estimates are that business volume will remain unchanged.

Agrishow is promoted by the Brazilian Agribusiness Association (Abag), Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment Industry (Abimaq), National Association for Fertilizer Diffusion (Anda), Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo (Faesp) and the Brazilian Rural Society (SRB).
