The body of a 49-year-old man was found by a dog this sunday (28) in the Angola neighborhood, in Betim, metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. According to the Military Police, the victim was stabbed in the head and abdomen, in addition to being beaten and stoned.
The corporation reported that the woman in the dead man went to the scene of the crime, identified the body and reported that her husband and family were being threatened by a 23-year-old man. According to the wife, the victim and the suspect had been disagreeing for a long time and the two allegedly fought on Saturday night (27).
The woman also said that during the fight, the victim had already been hit by a punch and during the night the two would have met to ‘settle the score’
Local residents detailed what happened to Itatiaia. “I found out that a neighbor went for a walk with his dog and the animal ended up finding a body here,” explained a person who did not want to be identified. The person also reported that the place where the body was found is commonly used by drug users in the region.
The Military Police arrested the suspect who is monitored by an electronic ankle bracelet. Using the device, agents were able to confirm that the man was at the scene of the crime during the early hours of the morning.
