A dog found in agony, along with five other dogs in a residence in Pauliceia in Piracicaba, made an impressive improvement after receiving immediate treatment and blood transfusion by the Animal Welfare Center team.
The rescue took place during an operation to combat animal abuse last Friday (26), when the puppy, which was in critical condition, was rescued by the Civil Guard, received medication and even a blood transfusion.
The animal’s delicate situation mobilized the Civil Guard, Animal Law, Animal Protection and veterinarian teams, who promptly sent it to receive the necessary care.
To everyone’s relief and surprise, the dog made an impressive recovery, showing a desire to live and even trying to get up. The other dogs found in the residence also received care and were temporarily transferred to other caregivers.
A police report was registered and the person responsible for the residence gave a statement at the police station.
