Texas improves to 26-18 overall and 12-8 in Big 12 play, while OU falls to 26-15 overall and 15-5 in conference action. Jalin Flores and Casey Borba each had two RBIs for Texas, and Chase Lummus got the win on the mound. Kyson Witherspoon took the loss. Jalin Flores got Texas on the scoreboard with an RBI double down the right field line that scored Jared Thomas, but OU responded as Easton Carmichael hit a single that drove in John Spikerman. The Sooners then took a 2-1 lead as Michael Snyder stole second base and Carmichael scored on Texas’ pickoff attempt. Kyson Witherspoon was named OU’s starting pitcher, while Ace Whitehead got the start for Texas.
