At the beginning of March, Vinicius Oliveira left a beautiful calling card by starring as a strong candidate for knockout of the year in his Ultimate debut. And, apparently, the organization’s top brass saw potential in the Brazilian. After all, his next appearance – only his second in the league – will be against a ranked opponent. ‘Lok Dog’, as he is known, measures forces with Ricky Simon, in UFC 303, scheduled for June 29th, in Las Vegas (USA).
The fight was reported first-hand by the Ag Fight reporting team, with sources close to the situation. At just 28 years old and with an aggressive striking style, Lok Dog arrives ready for the duel. Simon, in turn, will have to defend his 15th position in the bantamweight rankings (61 kg) coming from a negative sequence of two defeats in the organization.
Card led by McGregor
UFC 303, scheduled to be held during the traditional ‘International Fight Week’, will feature a main attraction that matches the magnitude of the card. Having been away for almost three years, Conor McGregor makes its long-awaited return to MMA before michael chandler. Former featherweight (66 kg) and lightweight (70 kg) champion of the entity, the loud-mouthed Irishman will compete in the welterweight (77 kg) category against ‘Iron’.
