Fuel prices: what have the fluctuations been like in recent years?

-

The price of fuels dropped slightly this Monday. A liter of diesel and gasoline are two cents cheaper. In the case of diesel, it is the third consecutive week of decline.

The forecast is for a drop of two cents, both in the price of a liter of diesel and gasoline. It drops a little, but, little by little, it will make a difference.

It is the third consecutive week of slight declines in diesel. And there is a reduction in gasoline, which had risen by one and a half cents last week.

With these drops, at national level, average prices should be around €1.58 for diesel and €1.80 for gasoline until Sunday.

The recent entry of the new Government does not seem to bring hope of measures that will lead to a reduction in prices.

2022 was a year of huge increases in fuel prices. 2023 brought a sequence of descents. Since January 2024, the price of diesel and gasoline has remained more stable, with slight fluctuations of just a few cents.
