Agents from the 89th Police Station (DP) are investigating the murder of a 41-year-old woman. The body was found on the morning of Sunday, the 28th, in the Baixada da Olaria neighborhood, in the Grande Alegria region. The victim, who was naked, was found dead inside her home. According to the Civil Police, the woman showed signs of violence.
Police officers from the 37th Military Police Battalion were called at around 1 pm to attend the Baixada da Olaria neighborhood, where a feminicide allegedly occurred. At the address, the police found a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) reporting that the victim, who was undressed, showed signs of hanging. The police officers waited at the scene until the arrival of the team of experts from the Carlos Éboli Criminalistics Institute (ICCE).
After forensic examination, the body was removed to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) of Três Poços, in Volta Redonda.
According to the chief delegate, Michel Floroschk, a man, appearing to be 60 years old, is suspected of the crime. He explained that in testimony, a family member said that upon arriving at the victim’s house, he saw the suspect run out of the house. “The victim’s sister said that the moment she was notified that her sister had been found lying inside the house, she ran out and went to the property. As she was approaching the scene, she saw the man running out of the house with slippers in his hands. When she entered, she found her sister, lying without clothes, next to the bed,” said the deputy.
“According to information, the victim was being chased by this man. But we are still gathering information about the crime”, said Michel, without giving any more information so as not to hinder the investigations.
